Join us for this FREE art-making program – no experience needed!

This is a FREE program for caregivers (of the elderly &/or people with Alzheimer’s/dementia), whether you’re a paid caregiver or someone who takes care of a loved one.

Sessions will resume in the fall. For more information, email JulieLaforet@BBArtCenter.org or give her a call: 248.644.0866 x 111.

Art of CaregivingSM is a short series of art workshops, every other week, designed to be creative relief from day-to-day tasks & to inspire artistic adventures— visual journaling, ceramics, painting & jewelry are just some of the “topics” you might encounter…          NO “ART EXPERIENCE” NEEDED!

Each session focuses on an art project, with guidance from a professional artist. All materials are provided.  There are light refreshments & time for informal socializing.

You’ll go home with a kit of supplies & materials so you can make a similar project on your own time—or even share it with the person you care for.

The program is ongoing so if you can’t make these dates, give us your email address & we’ll keep you informed about upcoming activities.

It’s all FREE but you must register in advance.

To register, or if you have questions, contact Julie at the BBAC:

In Michigan there are more than one million documented caregivers, some whose profession it is and others who care for a family member. Caregivers often sacrifice their own physical and emotional needs in an effort to provide the best quality of life for a loved one.
