Developing an undergraduate visual portfolio is one of the most important elements of the art school admissions process. It demonstrates a student’s artistic experience & abilities. BBAC offers a comprehensive program that prepares students by skill-building, guidance counseling, mentoring & digital portfolio creating. ArtBridge helps students realize their educational & artistic career aspirations.

Motivated students considering art as a career who wish to develop a competitive portfolio for art school admission & college scholarships should consider this specialized program.

ArtBridge programming includes:

  • Studio art classes taught by outstanding instructors at the BBAC
  • One-on-one assessment and guidance for college selection and application processes
  • Mentoring and internship opportunities with prominent regional artists
  • Assistance with producing a digital portfolio

Students accepted into ArtBridge who have household financial need and live in low-income communities in Wayne, Oakland or Macomb Counties are eligible for waiver of ArtBridge program fees (tuition, model, and material fees)

Students will not be considered for fee waiver until a completed application with references is submitted to the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center and acceptance has been confirmed.

Students who are not eligible for fee waivers, but have financial need, may apply for BBAC scholarships.

ArtBridge is supported in part by PNC Foundation.
